Why the Continental Soldier Is Featured.

The Continental soldier represents the spirit that built this nation. Ordinary men; farmers, tradesmen, and laborers, stood up against the greatest empire in the world because they believed in freedom, self-government, and a future where citizens, not kings, make the decisions. They fought with courage, sacrifice, and determination, and their efforts laid the foundation for the liberties we enjoy today.

South Carolina played a critical role in that struggle. Our state was home to decisive battles, brave militia leaders, and communities that refused to accept tyranny. The Continental soldier symbolizes that legacy, a legacy of standing firm, defending our homes, and protecting the rights of the people.

I use this image in my campaign because the responsibility of a representative is no different at its core. We are called to defend the principles that matter: transparency, accountability, personal liberty, and government that answers to its citizens. The Continental soldier reminds us that freedom was earned through sacrifice, and it must be protected through honest, responsible leadership.

Who I Am

Patrick Orr Patrick Orr

I'm not your typical politician. I'm a South Carolinian who believes our state deserves better leadership that listens, acts, and delivers real results.

I was born and raised in the Upstate of South Carolina. Raised by a single mother who taught me the value of hard work, responsibility, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Those lessons shaped who I am and how I approach leadership. After high school, I served a short time in the United States Navy before continuing my education. I later graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina. For more than 25 years, I have worked in information technology, building, securing, and operating systems people depend on every day. My career has been centered on solving real problems, managing risk, and leading teams where accountability matters. Today, I serve as a Vice President of Information Security and DevOps, responsible for protecting sensitive information, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring organizations operate efficiently and responsibly.

I am a proud father of a University of Colorado graduate and deeply invested in the future we are building for the next generation. My background has reinforced the importance of transparency, discipline, and practical decision-making. I believe South Carolina deserves leaders who understand real-world challenges, respect taxpayers, and focus on solutions that work. I am running to bring experience, accountability, and steady leadership to the State House.
